Craig Butler wins Yorkshire Masters competition.

Craig Butler defeated Jonathan Bagley 3-1 in the final of the inaugural Yorkshire Masters competition.

In the top half of the draw Bagley had wins over Ian Rookes, Mike Lucas and Scott Raper without dropping a frame, before edging past current Yorkshire Champion Gary Milne 3-1 in the semi-final.

In the bottom half Butler defeated Steve Hodgson and Matt Samples 3-0 and Shaun Wilkes 3-1 before breaks of 92,50 and a 67 clearances in the decider saw him defeat Wayne Wootton 3-2 in the semi-final.

Bagley started the stronger in the final, a 53 break giving him the opener 90-25. Butler hit back with a break of 104 (106-7) to level at 1-1 and then took the next two frames 64-40, 57-10 to complete a 3-1 win.

In the Plate competition final Dave Allender defeated Boover Singh 2-0.

The high break prize went to Andrew Greaves for a run of 108 in the first round.
